Improve The Interiors Of KSRTC Buses

I am a regular traveler in KSRTC. I have many friends and relatives in Bangalore. Last month I had gone to Bangalore by KSRTC Kerala Super Deluxe Air Bus from Thiruvalla. Luckily I reached Bangalore next day.

RRC 779 - Thiruvalla Bangalore Super Deluxe

Most of my friends prefer private services. because they are comfort and neat. If KSRTC should make Bangalore bound buses by PRAKASH Autos or other private firms. Regional workshop made buses are un comfort and noisy. At least a music system will add to avoid the boring of journey. An exterior look attracts to young people towards KSRTC. If KSRTC will improve the interior also to attract people to choose KSRTC.

  1. the reason ksrtc cites for not making the body of their buses form outside is that there will be problems in taking them to their workshops everytime for repairing them. But the reality is that even if the buses are made in their regional body building centres in kerala, they won't care for their repairing or other maintenance works or even cleaning them properly..the result is what we can see parked in our bus stations...the thing is that ksrtc don't wish to compete with the private sector for some reason or other...we,poor passengers are the only ones to suffer...

  2. Yes thats true subin. No point in blaming anyone. KSRTC will never improve. What to do ? we - the poor passengers suffer a lot. I was also a person worried about ksrtc's act earlier. I'm a follower of this blog since last 6 months. There are hell lot of problems with ksrtc. I used to travel by tvla-blr bus earlier. Later on i was fed up because after thrissur- the bus becomes nearly empty and lot of vibrations can be felt and its impossible to sleep after that.(nearly about 3:30 am or 4). In this forum many say prefer ksrtc and all those. One more thing i felt about ksrtc was about the different fare stages in bus. The buses bound to kottarakara, tvm, ktm and tvla should not have fare stages for palakkad and thrissur- because of this we could see lot of passengers from plkd and tsr booking this bus and passengers from tvla or alappuzha doesnot get a ticket if booked later. The bus runs emtpy after thrissur till the respective destinations. This is a bad part. I found many people writing about KSRTC and its advantages. I dont find any advantage with this - now i started feeling tiresome traveling in these. With the operators like SRM entering into kerala routes, the situation has changed. I used to travel from chennai-thiruvalla by new SRM. it covers the distance within 12 hours , the bus quality is amazing. I never feel tired after that journey and speed/safety is amazing. If Government cant improve people shouldnot waste their hard earned money compromising on all things like safety, comfort etc.If ksrtc needs to match the present travel standards, they have to replace all their globus , delux buses. They can try out izuzu instead of globus because ksrtc prefers to go for cheap buses . Izuzu is cheap and quality is better than globus. In the high end they have to use multi-axle volvos and benz, else they will loose their market. We can see the number of multi-axles running between tvm and blr/chennai. This has become 2nd. In mumbai we can find operators like neeta having only muti-axles in their schedule. So KSRTC wake up else u will loose the race. KSRTC is not cheap also : "tvm-blr" in garuda costs around 810+30 online SRM 950 rs . SRM 7:15 pm garuda 5pm. Garuda is a single axle old volvo , SRM is highly maintained volvo. Which one will people prefer? Everyone knows the answer.

  3. Hi ,
Check red bus.in . Shama starts first multi-axle volvo to pathanamthitta . I could see shama multiaxle volvo listed in redbus. Good news for pathanamthitta people. Wish SRM also should start one then we can find the real competition in that route.

  4. KSRTC has a very good brand name. but, only because of the foolish management(dont call it foolishness, suspect some hidden agenda to help pvts) KSRTC is far behind on the race.
Especially in BGLR services, pvt and KaSRTC provides better service to the passengers where our KSRTC is doing its great job with TATA Globus and the RRC S/DLXs.

Most of the BGLR bound passengers are not bother about the fare, if so they would prefer trains.

IT/Management/Busines people are travelling in this route daily. So, they need premium class services, and good accessibilty. Unfortunately, our Globus proved its inability.

So, KSRTC should introduce Volvo Multi Axle, Benz buses in this route. Also, giv more training to the crew.
