Elaborate arrangements will be done by Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) this year pilgrim season to ensure enough and effective sabarimala pilgrimage. A fully equipped bus station including garage facility will start functioning at Pampa round the clock. Buses would be operated from all important bus stations to Pampa and Erumeli. In addition to Pamba Bus station, there would be a temporary bus station at Nilackal.
More chain services would be operated between Pamba and Nilakkal. A 25 per cent enhancement had been proposed in the number of services. All arrangements made in previous years for operating the special services will continue during the current season too.
Corporation will run 350 buses to sabarimala (Pampa) Everyday during the Mandala Pooja Season and 500 during the Makaravilakku Season. The special services will be operated using the new fleet of buses. 250 new buses would be launched before than Mandala pooja season and 350 before the Makaravilakku Season.
