KSRTC Is Living In The Stone Age?

Here is a complaint, which i have got from Biju CR (bijuelampal@gmail.com) a regular passenger from Punalur To Thiruvananthapuram.

"There is a super fast bus service between Punalur and Trivandum, upon which many employees belonging to Trivandrum and working at punalur or en route are depending. This bus starts from Punalur at 5.30 am and reaches Trivandrum at 7.10, Then leaves to Punalur at 7.20 am.

This bus is over crowded on Mondays as the Trivandrum based employees who are staying at their workplaces enroute and Punalur, are making a going back to offices after a week end home trip, apart from the regular ones shuttling daily.

On 15th of November, as usual on Mondays, a large crowd was waiting for this bus at Trivandrum bus station.Unfortunately even at 7.50 there was no trace of the bus.the KSRTC staff at Trivandrum are unaware of the whereabouts of it.

The men and women some how managed to reach their destination by other means and we later came to know that the tyre of the bus was punctured on its way to Trivandrum (ie first trip).

In an age like this where mobile phones are so common, this information could have been passed to Trivandrum and an announcement about the problem could have been made at Trivandrum, Which would have saved precious time of many people, who were waiting for a bus which is broken down on the way.

In many aspects the corporation is living in the stone age."

  1. not KSRTC but a very few people are still living in stone age. eg. KSRTC OFFICIALS who takes decesions very rarely and think a lot.

    I have heard announcements at TSR bus station like " യാത്രക്കാരുടെ ശ്രദ്ധക്ക് ബസ്‌ നമ്പര്‍ RA 100 തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് നിന്നും ബാംഗ്ലൂര്‍ വരെ പോകുന്ന വോള്‍വോ എ സി ബസ്‌ അല്‍പ സമയത്തിനുള്ളില്‍ സ്റ്റാന്‍ഡില്‍ എതിചെരുന്നതാണ്" that means they are using mobiles efficiently.

  2. Why the KSRTC is not giving a new bus in perfect condition for the PLR- TVM SF service? Only one SF service is only there in Punalur. I think the present bus is RRK534, which was discarded from some other depot.
A lot of such problems existed with the buses RR4(showm in the picture), TP820, TP85 etc. that were used previously in the same route.
KSRTC may open their eyes. Ensure a new SF bus will be given to PLR depot for the above prestigious service.
