Misbehavior Of Conductor In KSRTC Super Fast Bus



KSRTC Super fast bus not stopped at Cochin University Bus stop (Request Stop)

On 08/10/10, I had travelled from Trichur KSRTC stand to Cochin University stop in super fast bus (Ticket Details: TVM Central, No: 00121918, 07:05:39, 08/10/10, Thrissur to Ernakulam, Rs 51/-, 0271021600 27116 027047, TVM-2323979/2323886). I asked for ticket to Cochin University Bus stop but I was given the ticket to Ernakulam as usual without specifying the exact stop name on ticket but to the next point. On reaching University stop, usually ksrtc buses stop just after the signal junction, I asked the conductor to stop the bus but his reply was there is no stop there. As a last resort I gave single bell but the conductor gave double bell and not ready to stop the bus at any cost. So, I went to the driver and his version was there is stop at University Junction but he did not stop the bus as the conductor gave double bell and also ! he was not aware about what is going on at back side. On my request the driver stopped the bus but by the time I was around 2 km past my stop and I had to catch an Auto to reach my office on time.

I am a frequent traveller in Trichur-Ernakulam route last four years in both Fast and Super Fast buses, and this is the first time a conductor refuses to stop at Cochin University Bus stop on request.


Last month, I had also witnessed another passenger quarreling with this conductor for not stopping the bus at Chalakudy junction, where all FP & SF buses stop on request.

A few months back the same conductor verbally insulted an old aged man who got into the bus from Putukad bus stop to Chalakudy mistaking it as ordinary bus. When the conductor asked for SF fare from Trichur to Chalakudy he politely told him the fare he was paying in ksrtc ordinary bus and asked why this big difference. He first laughed at old man, then reply was this is the ticket amount from my machine, without saying its SF, and you have to pay it...if don't know why this difference, travel by private bus. if you have any complaint contact the office at chalakudy stand.. On reaching bus stand, he sent that old man to the office motivating him to complain. He, without knowing the difference between buses, went to the office hoping to get back the money. He approached another conductor, mistaking as office staff, standing in front of office door...he checked the ticket and explained the difference..within minutes he went back without any problem. All that time the conductor ! was enjoying the scene. This is how an old man was treated in KSRTC bus by this conductor!

In my experience most of the KSRTC staff, especially recruiters, are decent and people friendly.

So, I request you to ensure that all buses stop at Scheduled stops and Request stops, and to teach the staff to behave decently to avoid the inconvenience to both passengers and KSRTC.
