Then It's not Kerala RTC, It's Karnataka RTC. Karnataka RTC, India's Most Preferred Inter City Operator, is famous for running it's branded Airavat Volvo premium services. There is nothing to wonder for this great move from Karnataka RTC. First buses towards Thrissur and Ernakulam started from Bangalore yesterday.

Two Volvo buses from Bangalore to Thiruvananthapuram (One Via Salem, One Via Mysore),
One Volvo To Palakkad,
Two Volvo Buses to Ernakulam (Some times they put one special Volvo bus on weekends too),
One Volvo to Kasargod,
One Volvo is running to Kottayam,
And in addition to that, now
One Volvo to Thrissur and one more to Ernakulam.
Some reasons from KSRTC Officials is that Kerala RTC is not getting the proper funds from Government to purchase the buses. But that is not the case in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. In Kerala, most of the current buses are financed by Hudco, LIC etc. So let us hope the next Government will do something for the development of the state owned transport corporation.

Good move by Ksrtc . The road via mysore, chamrajnagar, coimbatore is excellent too. May be it will take 0.5 hour extra than salem but since there is no traffic in this route - safety level is high. But the timings r odd . If the bus leaves at 18:30 from bangalore it should reach thrissur by around 4 :30 am. This is the timings of our thiruvalla ordinary deluxe bus. Since its a volvo it should take lesser time than this.
ReplyDeleteSujith ,
