KSRTC offers 2-yr ad-rights in 4,800 buses

The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has invited offers from interested persons, agencies, companies and firms for granting advertisement rights in 4.800 buses on the basis of auction-cum-tender. The buses being offered for ad-rights include ordinary, super fast passenger, super deluxe, supre express, semi sleeper, AC air buses and short wheel base buses. The earnest money deposit (EMD) required is Rs. 5 lakh. These rights are being offered for a period of two years with effect from November 01, 2010. However, these rights may be extended for a further period of two years with a 25 percent increase in the prevailing contract value.

Advertisements shall be displayed on outer and inner body of the buses excluding side window glass, emergency glass and driver cabins. However, for the buses under super fast, semi sleeper, deluxe and AC air buses, display of advertisement will be allowed on the rear side only.


The EMD of Rs. 5 lakh should be paid through a bank draft drawn in favour of the financial adviser and chief accounts officer, KSRTC, TVM payable at TVM.

Tender forms indicating complete details can be purchased from the office of the chairman and managing director on payment of Rs. 25,000.

Applicants shall be required to submit the tender in two covers (one for the pre-qualification bid, and the other for the price bid). The Tender notification number and date should also be mentioned on each cover.

Duly completed tender forms will have to be submitted latest by 3pm on October 06, 2010.

The pre-qualification bids will be opened at 11am on October 07, 2010, and after evaluation, auction and opening of the price bids will be held the same day at 2.30pm.

The licence for ad-rights will be granted to the highest bidder in the auction/tender process.
