Bus Travel As A Good Alternative

Most people favour to take a trip by Train or by automobile, but there are still many, many people who favour to use bus travel to see the sites on their journey. Bus travel is not as trendy as it once was, but you can still obtain routes to take you almost anywhere in the Kerala. Some don't want to use it because it costs considerably more than a train ticket. You can overlook a lot of things when you are concentrating on the highway whilst driving, or worrying about driving directions.

If you are more than interested in bus travel, you can find a good variety of routes depending on where you are going to, and when you wish to go. Some routes will have quite a few stops along the way, but they may not present you a lot of time to investigate the locale. KSRTC is running a lot of Super Express buses to the major tourist attractive places like Munnar, Thekkadi, Gavi, Ootty, Veegaland, Fort Cochin, Velankanni, Kanyakumari, Alappuzha, Guruvayoor etc.

If you are planning a journey to these places, and you want to make a family experience out of it, you can
use the KSRTC bus travel to get everyone there very quickly and comparatively bother free. Bus travel for groups can be prearranged by contacting to the nearest KSRTC Depot, and the advance reservation facility is also available for that.

  1. Hi
the article is really good and it is good alternative for the train travel, if the fare is really competitive, see the next nearest state Tamil Nadu how about their buses, service and fares. from Nagercoil to Chennai with Super delux byepass riders(2+2 with push back)they charge only 260/- for almost 750+ KM what will be cost if the same thing going to happen in Kerala or Karnataka?? Even Tamil Nadu buses also not that bad, they are also having very good buses. KLSRTC has to come up with some new invention like KASRTC, KASRTC offer some spl fare between two cities. like Chamaraj Nagar-Mysore Original fare is 30+ but the spl offer price is 20/- for the chain service "CHAMARAJA SARIGE" in the same way Gundalpet - Mysore also they have spl fare for "KOUNDINYA SARIGE" in the same way let KLSRTC come up with some invention between few cities then surely people use KASRTC as their Alternative mode of Transport instead of using the crowded train.

  2. only 260 from nagercoil to chennai???? unbelivable i think you are talking about new setc bus not the ultra deluxe setc right???
that bus is just like our superfast bus and its not a 2*2 seater, only setc ac buses are 2+2 seater right??? setc fare is always higher than opur express services, in my experiance kerala rtc is very beter than setc or any other tamilnad transport corporation in bus maintaining and punctuality.tamilnad buses are good only at there first few trips thgen it become uiter worst.
setc are the most waste from the south.
