According to the information, KSRTC will conduct one bus from Ernakulam, Kottayam and Thrissur and 2 buses from Kozhikkode and Kannur. These buses will be either Super Express or Super Fast.
Non availability of buses is one of the main problems affecting by the state owned transport corporation. At the same time Karnataka RTC is operating Special services to Ernakulam, Kannur, Kozhikkode and Palakkad.
Karnataka RTC has already announced the list of special services and our Kerala RTC is still doing the discussions regarding this, whether to conduct the services or not.
According to the officials, seats are not yet completely booked for the regular buses. Also they are telling that, if they want to run the special buses, they will be getting the passengers only to Kerala before Onam and only to Bangalore after Onam. Not understanding the sense behind this.
Some of the newly introduced 2x2 Express buses with push back seats are already allotted to different depots and some of the buses are running in the shortest distances like Ernakulam - Coimbatore etc. I am not getting the reason that why they are using this buses in such routes.
KSRTC is running express buses in the shortest routes like Ernakulam - Coimbatore, Kothamangalam - TVM, Thiruvananthapuram - Veegaland, Moovattupuzha - Thiruvananthapuram, Thiruvalla - Thrissur/TVM. And they are running super fast buses in the longest routes like Kottarakkara - Mookambika, TVM - Mangalore, EKM - Mangalore, TVM - Mysore, Kottarakkara - Bangalore etc. And the hidden truth is that they are not getting any through tickets from the starting point to the destination of these buses. During the last Onam season, KSRTC was running a Super Express bus from Thiruvananthapuram to Bangalore via Kozhikkode, Mysore. By the same time Karnataka RTC is running Volvo buses from Bangalore to Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Kottayam, Palakkad etc. And all other buses which is coming after Thrissur is Ultra Deluxe Air Buses (Rajahamsa). Karnataka RTC is also running Volvo buses from Ernakulam to Mysore, Mangalore, Hassan etc.
According to KSRTC, Super deluxe air buses are not making any profit. So they are planning to stop those buses one by one and will replace it with Super Express buses. Also they have no plans to introduce any Super Deluxe Air buses soon.

This is too bad. How late is ksrtc announcing services? All the ksrtc buses from bangalore to kerala was booked fully weeks ago. This is a big let off from ksrtc. They have to make hay while there is wind. Otherwise others will make.

Kerala State Road Transport Corporation has announced Onam special services starting this week.
ReplyDeleteThere will be Super Fast and S/Exp services to Calicut , Ernakulam , Kottayam and Kannur starting from August 19th onwards. All the mentioned services will operate via Mysore.
Ernakulam S/Exp is via Mysore,Gudalur,Nilambur.
In addition , there will be a special GARUDA Volvo to Trivandrum on August 20th. This will be operating in addition to the daily GARUDA service.
one humble request..to ksrtc..kindly make the express buses like rajahamsha of karantaka rtc..ya now it is 2+2 before it was 3+2..
