Extend Some Thiruvalla Originated Buses To Pathanamthitta

Hi readers, here is a suggestion which i received from one of our readers regarding the long service bus operation from Thiruvalla depot. He has mentioned clearly that no one from Pathanamthitta and nearby placed are not getting the exact benefit of these services.

Just read it and comment your opinion regarding this.

"I am a new user of this site. I saw some useful links and datas. Thanks to Sujith .

I am from Puthenpeedika, Pathanamthitta. I have a request. Our children studies in bangalore. So they come often to Pathanamthitta. We found that the Thiruvalla-Bangalore deluxe is a good bus whereas the other buses like padikkal, sharma are all expensive.

It would be grateful if thiruvalla-Bangalore bus gets extended up to pathanamthitta via kozhencherry. As we all know that majority of the passengers using this bus is from pathanamthitta area rather than thiruvalla. We have already given a complaint in ksrtc pathanamthitta regarding this. Even the other major services like Thrissur , Malampuzha, Madurai everything should be originated from pathanamthitta rather than thiruvalla.

PTA is the district HQ, so preference should be from here. Mathew Thomas has done good things but it should be beneficial to all passengers not to credit himself that he has done good things to his hometown. KSRTC should be for the people. It''s high time authorities has to look into these kind of things which might be very useful to majority of the passengers. If we look at the services from pathanamthitta, all are doing exceptionally great. for eg Pathanamthitta-Coimbatore superfast, Ernakulam, Palakkad, Kozhikkode etc......great collections.

I hope something should be done in this aspect"

So readers, what you feel regarding this suggestion from Mr Anto (Anto.john@gmail.com). Feel free to share it here.

  1. ya Mr.Anto u r right ....as the district head quarters should be the main preference..the ksrtc people should analyze whether there is 99% possibility to make the service according to the passengers...most preferred stop...etc...

  2. Yes I agree to Mr. Anto. It's 500% correct. All the pvt buses starts from pathanamthitta . ARC, No1, kallada, shama, padikkal, sharma, sps etc. This clearly shows that pathanamthitta has got more passenger availability than thiruvalla.Even people from konni, pathanapuram can utilise this service if its originated from Pta. So KSRTC authorities should clearly look in this service and help the passengers.

  3. orikkalum nadakkatha karyam. veruthe samayam kalayenda. because it is not for the sake of passengers, only for getting some votes.

  4. It is true that Private buses are starting from Pathanamthitta to Bangalore & vice versa. It is difficult for both Kerala & Karnataka to operate buses upto Pathanamthitta due to the reason that the route is long, and it requires 2 drivers. The Private buses are having 2 drivers and who reach in time. Even today, the Rajahamsa KSRTC takes 15 hours to Ernakulam & 18 hours to Kottayam. There is shortage of drivers in both RTC's. Kerala RTC can start a new service to Pathanamthitta instead of disturbing the Thiruvalla service.

  6. The Kerala RTC should start Non stop Buses from Thiruvalla to Pathanamthitta. In both Kerala/Karnataka RTC, buses with 2 drivers are having problems. Sometimes the Karnataka Rajahamsa buses to Kottayam/Ernakulam is driven by a single driver. Therefore it take 15 hours & 18 hours. The Kerala RTC should convert the Super Express service with 2X2 Push back seats. The Air Bus & Global AC bus are very costly. Let the buses be cheaper.

  7. @..Nambiar

do you know the distance between pathanamthitta and thiruvalla? its only 30kms...the tvla-blr service runs with TWO drivers and not ONE. so there is no issue if the service is extended to PTA... all these are mere stupid excuses given..

Now for PTA to get premium services, some one from PTA should become the transport minister

  8. I dont think its a good idea to start a new service from pta instead of disturbing thiruvalla service. During weekdays we cant expect a large number of passengers. In that period it will be a problem for KSRTC to manage. But extending the present service is always possible. I still dont understand the rationale behind the TVLA-BLR. IT shouldnot have been thiruvalla , it should ve been pathanamthitta-BLR. It should not be for the sake of votes, it should be for the sake of passengers. If it has to be thiruvallla it can be chanagacherry or chengannur also. We should stop this political inclination in terms of alloting routes. Im very sure that hardly very few passengers who board the tvla-blr bus are from thiruvalla. Can anyone justify other way round.?>> In terms of kottarakara bus it has to be improved. We can see even mult-axle bus to kottarakara from bangalore. Does it mean that Kottarakara-blore route is in poor in making revenues? Not at all. We could clearly see kottarakara ksrtc is getting suppressed , same with pathanamthitta also. @kiran -- this will happen. Now its politically biased @ KSRTC. LEt some good ministers come up . There are many operators in kerala but still only 2 operators are found to be exceptionally great (SRM and Sofiyalines). So KSRTC has good chance to come back if they have a good bus and utilise the routes in a proper and effective way from the public feedback. Sharma is a good bus to pathanamthitta , but its slow. They emphasize more on safety and quality - so we should compromise on time. I can see shama volvo reaching bangalore after ksrtc (TVLA-BLR) . I request KSRTC to use a good bus from Pathanamthitta-Bangalore _(suggestion- the new pushback seated Express is ok/ Multi-axle volvo(if they r gonna start a luxury service/isuzu). No more TATA globus pls...Atleast a tri-axle volvo from kottarakara if this didnot materialise..

  9. Tvla bglr bus is now starting from edathwa sub depot. But they wont take passengers from there. Such a stupidity they are doing. When i enquired regarding this, i came to know that they havent given any services to any other depot. This is because if they do so, they will not get it back.

  10. the only thing our RTC knows is to fight among each other. Very soon you can see a airvat to pathanamthitta.. that will solve most of the problem.

  11. Ganesh kumar got the minister seat, he started PTPM SBY bus, PTA-KKD, PTA-CBE etc. and many more services. At peak time, there is less bus towards TVLA or KTM from PTA.

I have got enough experience with PTA depot. TVLA started FP chain to PTA with two buses, and PTA ALP chain. but the most of the people are going to KTM rather than ALP. PTA has only some old LS ord buses to KTM, and only two FP service originating from PTA to KTM. This shows thw step mother treatment to the depot. Ithu arrange cheythathu ethu kondana ente daivame.....

PTA depot is one of the oldest depots, and now it is showing the growth of snake gaurd
(Padavalanga). Before PTA has one PONNANI bus through via EKM, now no bus. Only one bus to malabar(KKD SF). Even PALA has more than six services.

There is no more service through the proposed Hill highway. The buses through the PLR_MVPA SH is ending at Kanjirappally(those going to ETPA, KTPNA, etc) and no bus upto MVPA or TDPA. one TDPA-PLR bus is running athu kandechalum mathi. Suicide cheyyan thonnipokum. PTA yude long sevices anu VZKDV, KKD, CBE, PLKD, and one GVR bus. From PLR, one GVR bus, From PTPM one SBY bus.
Kazhinju PTA yude service nte strength. PTA kku allott cheytha many buses are reallotted to many otheer depots, even i saw one at TSR depot and ARND depot.
We can see that the cheap management and time passing attitude of the officials. One time the officials are saying that they have no conductors. Ippo aavashyathinu conductors undu. Avashyathilum kooduthalanu. karanam mikka divasangalilumtemporary conductors are going back because joliyilla. now they are saying no drivers, no buses,.. pinne ivanmar ithellam koodi poottiyittittu Private busukalkku azhinjadan ittu kodukkum pta district.

One multi axle volvo is going to BGLR from PTA.

But PTA depotinu oru SE polumilla. enthinu only 5SFs, mikkavarum athil randennan KAttappurathum...
    Our fate.

  12. well said kiran...no new services from pta for a long time and the old ones are getting cancelled as well.. does someone know how we can give a route request to Karnataka RTC or SETC??

    ReplyDelete
  13. i don know whether ksrtc will listen to these requests . Atleast if someone @ SRM sees this post . Kindly study the feasibility of bangalore -pathanamthitta route. If there is an SRM MULTI-AXLE in this route i think it will receive lot of patronage . Atleast bangalore-pta can be covered in 10 hours max . SRM has kicked off all the other operators in their territory by the superior class buses , speed and safety . Sujith , im not against ksrtc - a well wisher of pathanamthitta.im fedup of other private operators and ksrtc doesnot help .

  14. I accept to point no 13. Once SRM comes into picture i guess there will be big competition and it will win Dead Straight!. Look at chennai-trivandrum route, SRM has broken the limits. It had beaten Parveen/rathimeena (even with parveen's benz service we could find SRM is full daily ). Same happening with Bangalore also . Now there are 2 bangalore-tvm buses by SRM. Nowadays passengers towards tvm area prefer SRM first and if there are no tickets then they will try the other operators. It is very fast . Drivers are well-efficient , co-operative and bus maintenance is high class. If there is an SRM multi-axle either to kottarakara or pathanamthitta then there will be a stiff competition. We could see only travels like padiakkal with isuzu or kallada or very old shama nowadays in tvla route. No competition at all. SRM Truly no 1...

    ReplyDelete
  15. very valid point.. there should be stiff competeion through mc road. Its a pity to see that the kallada multi axle starts at 3pm from adoor along with the non ac ones. Passengers living around mc road are not benefited like the one's in the highways where they need to board the bus only at 9 from alappuzha... let the buses keep coming

  16. Hi friends, SRM starts a new multi-axle volvo from thiruvalla-chennai. Now the real competition takes shape in thiruvalla. It starts from tvla - 4pm and chennai at 7pm. It's via allepey, ernakulam. I think they are evaluating bangalore-pathanamthitta also. Once it materialises i think all the other private operators are going to face huge competition from SRM. Im wondering at the pace its gonna run from thiruvalla to chennai. Look at the timings. excellent. I think SRM has started their attack through MC road also. Till now i have not found even a single bad bus from them. All r exceptionally great. They are dominating on all the routes which they have a service, chennai-tvm, chennai-cbe, blr-tvm, chennai-madurai. Their a/c bus from chennai-bangalore is faster than sharma multi-axle ...................So folks expect a multi-axle soooooooooooooon to bangalore from pathanamthitta....They are the only operator who has maximum multiaxles after sharma and VRL.

    ReplyDelete
  17. thats great news.. hope they start one from kottarakara also...

I think KPN has more multiaxle than SRM

    ReplyDelete
  18. Great News!!!@ Bilal, KPN and SRM has nearly about same number of multiaxles , fleet strength of KPN is higher than any other operator in south india. I think they will be next to NEETA(mumbai), meanwhile SRM seems to be most preferred operator with good number of fleets which maintains safety ,speed and quality

    ReplyDelete
  19. @ Kerala Dreams

VRL is the biggest bus transport operator in India, forget about Neeta and KPN
Regarding safety SRM and KPN have bad records their Volvo buses have met with several accidents
1st and 2nd on safety records definitely go to KaSRTC and APSRTC. from past 8 years KaSRTC has only 3 Volvo bus accidents from fleet of 400+ Volvo buses, APSRTC also had 4 Volvo bus accidents from fleet of 90 buses from past 7 years
