City To Get More "Thiru Kochi" Buses

Ernakulam: Speaking after flagging off 10 new Volvo buses that will conduct services to neighboring towns Minister for transport, Jose Thettayil said that more "Thiru Kochi" buses would be rolled out soon.

The buses will be introducing after the Sabarimala season, as almost all the new buses are using for Pamba - Nilakkal chain services. The possibility of introducing city buses through new routes, where there is demand from commuters, would be considered, he added.

The policy of Government is to vitalize the public transport system in the city,This is to avoid traffic congestions in the city due to the unprecedented influx of private vehicles, mainly from the suburbs.
