KSRTC Is Introducing three brand new Multi Axle Volvo services from December onwards. Don't expect that, the corporation will replace the present Volvo service running from Thiruvananthapuram to Bangalore with these buses. Because the buses are introducing by Karnataka RTC.
Karnataka RTC is starting a new fleet of Multi Axle Volvo buses with the brand name "Airavat Club Class". These buses will start its service from the next month onwards to Chennai, Mumbai and Hyderabad.
Time Schedule
The bus would depart from Bangalore at 14.05 and 23.10 from Chennai. The bus would be running via Hosur, Vellore.
Another service would be from Bangalore to Mumbai via Tumkur, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Haveri, Hubli, Dharwar, Belgaum, Kolhapur, Pune. Starts at 15.00 from both the places.
Bangalore Hyderabad service would be at 21.45 from Bangalore and 20.00 from Hyderabad. This will be running via Ananthapur, Gooty, Kurnool, Jedcharla.
Kerala RTC is interested to operate only Super Fast and Express buses in long routes. KSRTC will operate Super Fast buses to Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai, if they get permit. :) :)

ReplyDeletewhy we eagerly asking for multi-axles is there any difference in comfort??????
i think no......
in my knowledge multi axle is difficult to handle than normal volvos and also maintanance coast is high .(correct me if am wrong)
in ma opinion we need volvo service from the following destinations..........
KOTTARAKKARA: extend kotayam ac or replace the present dlx from kkr
PATHANAMTHITTA: through ranni,ponkunnam ,pala,todupuza
(i am not sure about the road conditions)moovatupuzha.......(extend pala ac )
next is from malabar region kkd is ok i think kkd-kanr-ksgd-bngre is better than through bethery( to get more passengers)whts the time difference??
one coimbathore volvo from tvm will be beneficial.... but should be through kotrka-chgnr-tvla-ktm
one manglore volvo from tvm through the same destinations also a good one .....
premium services should be rerouted through kra-ktm route ...i heard that chengannur is the center for banglore bounded pvt buses in kerala....
trivandrum-kotayam-coimbathore-ernakulam volvo
ReplyDelete...............................................
6.30pm :from trivandrum
reaching coimbathore before 4am
6.30am :coimbathore to ernakulam
3.30pm :ernakulam to coimbathore
10pm :coimbathore to trivandrum
through ktm.cgnr....
reaching tvm on erly mornings.....
is there any chance to run additional service
to ernakulam???
we need two volvos but we get buses to and from cbtre to trivandrum on night also 3.3opm servive towards coimbathre from ernakulam also good.....
@Anson, Pala - Bangalore AC service no longer exists. KSRTC officials at Pala depot said it is just temporary, while stopping the service. They were expecting new Super Express buses to resume the service, but the buses never reached Pala.
ReplyDeleteI would say Volvo services by KeSRTC should be introduced on these routes:
1. Kottarakkara - Bangalore (Booking should be available at Kottarakkara, Adoor, Chengannur, Thiruvalla, Changanacherry & Kottayam)
2. Kottayam - Bangalore (Booking should be available at Kottayam & Moovattupuzha)
3. Ernakulam - Bangalore
4. Thrissur - Bangalore
5. Thiruvananthapuram - Coimbatore
6. Ernakulam - Chennai
7. Ernakulam - Mangalore
A daily stage carriage Volvo service from Pathanamthitta via Pala would not get enough EPKM. Pathanamthitta can have a SDLX via Thiruvalla, Kottayam. And Pala - Bangalore can be reinstated with a Super Express (2X2) bus via CBE, Salem & Hosur.

Kottayam - Bangalore
ReplyDeleteErnakulam - Bangalore
Thrissur - Bangalore
Ernakulam - Mangalore
Ernakulam - Mysore
Thiruvananthapuram - Mysore
All these routes are already well covered by KaSRTC and private operators, it will be very difficult for KeSRTC to get enough passengers to operate profitably
@rajesh
ReplyDeleteso the extension of tvla dlx is better than pala right??
ok but is there any need of volvo service from both kotayam and thrissur...from kotayam is enough .....
but i think one kotayam-bngre kasrtc stopped service ....... anyway if ksrtc start a service instead of present ktm ac it will bcome a profitable one.....
wht about ktm-pala-tdpa-mvpa-tsr route???
instead of koothatukulam...ettumanoor...
wht about the difference in distance and time???
If you introduce volvo buses in the above mentioned routes, there is every possibility that it will be profitable,if and only if they are maintained properly and service is good...look at the story of globus ac bus...there was a rush to book these buses once they were introduced in the initial few days..but once people experienced their pathetic condition , they returned back to private and Rajahamsa...
ReplyDeletewhat is the use posting these things here.no use at all.the authorities wont mind any thing
ReplyDelete@Sujith : I know, you will not finish blaming Kerala SRTC. You know that the corporation is going down day by day. How come it can afford these types of high end buses ? The important thing is to maintain the current schedules and buses in condition. Karanataka SRTC has bought some Mercedes Buses. Is it affordable for Kerala SRTC ? No. So don't compare these two corporations. Its pointless.

ReplyDeleteChecked with KaSRTC official in Shantinagar, he informed getting permits for Kerala routes is very difficult and Kerala government also supports private operators. he informed for KaSRTC to introduce new Kerala services they have to stop some Kerala service and start another. he gave the example of BLR-KTM stopped to make way for BLR-KKD, same is the case for BLR-TVM stopped to start MYS-TVM, previously there were 2 daily services to TVM now only one
KeSRTC also doesn't offer good services and they don't want others also also to operate good services
