Pamba Special Buses From Chengannur

Chengannur is well known as the "Gateway of Sabarimala'. KSRTC Bus station is very close to the Chengannur Railway station. Also KSRTC Operates Special buses to Pamba, Erumeli etc from Chengannur railway station during the Mandala Makaravilakku season. KSRTC also operates Ordinary buses to Pathanamthitta from the railway station, which is known as the base camp of Sabarimala.

Buses are also available fron chengannur depot to visit various temples as per the request of devotees at the rate Rs. 40.00 per running KM and a minimum charge of Rs.4000 up to 100 KM, 6000 up to 150 KM, Rs.8000 up to 200 KM and Rs.10000 above 200KM.

    From very beginning of KSRTC (Kerala State transport Department under PWD) CGNR dept.doing a commendable service for Sabarimala devotees! Every year it records growth of revenue also..The service of officials/employees/Local Administrations is remarkable..But KSRTC is no way doing justice to this depot. (May be lack of political patronage..)Till 90s it had more than 80schedules including no.of services to High ranges & long FP services. Since 1991 matter grew worse & is a state of Sub depot th single SFP service...
    Hope the new package announced for pilgrims by KSRTC as a good move and opportunity to show the competency of KSRTC CGNR once again.......
