KSRTC To Start Reservation Counter In Mysore

The public transport system in Mysore has become a role model for the entire country and is being adopted by many states. The modernised multi-storeyed, multi-facility mofussil bus terminus on Bangalore-Nilgiris Road built at the cost of Rs 23.53 crore under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) inaugurated on September 19th.

Officials of Kerala RTC In Bangalore announced that they will start a passenger reservation facility counter in the Mysore bus station soon. At present Kerala RTC has only one reservation counter in Karnataka, which is available in Bangalore. Because of this reason there is no reservation facility for the buses which is starting from Mysore to different places of Kerala.

There are 29 schedules from Bangalore to Kerala which is going via Mysore. Apart from this KSRTC is operating 26 services from Mysore to different places in Kerala which includes Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Kottayam etc. So by starting a reservation counter in Mysore, Passengers from Mysore can also make use of the buses which is coming from Bangalore. This will also increase the revenue of KSRTC.

So the total bus services from Mysore will become 55, which is higher than in Bangalore.
