Students of Kochi will soon get concessions on Kerala State Road Transport Corporation's Thiru Kochi City Buses. Student concession is becoming increasingly problematic as private bus operators are complaining that they are made to bear the burden while the KSRTC denied any concession.
Now a days, students face a lot of problems while travelling in private buses in the city. Most of the buses will not stop near schools, they were treating students in such a bad manner that most of the students got fed up with them. But now the situation is going to change. The 50 Thiru Kochi buses, which started operating from Saturday, will soon issue concession cards to students.
"We have started the service as trial basis, It will take around one month of time for the services to get stable. As soon as the services become stable, we will introduce the concession for students. Said Mr Jayaraj, Zonal Officer, Ernakulam while talking to KSRTCBlog.
Once the cards are issued students can have a hassle-free travel as there will be a number of buses plying near schools.
Good decision. The social responsibilities of KSRTC are more as it is a government organisation. So it must allow concession to students.
