New services to be started,
ReplyDeleteVazhikkadavu-NBR-KKD,TT Malabar (every 10 minutes instead of every 20 minutes)
Nilambur-Cheruvady-Mavoor-KKD Med College-KKD.
NBR-Mannarkad-Palakkad.
Marutha-Edakkara-NBR-KKD.
Narivalamunda-NBR-Bharananganam.
What happened to the PANDALAM -Nilambur LSFP started by Pandalam Sudhakaran M.L.A.?Why it stopped?Due less collection? Why it started and extend upto Vazhikadvu?
ReplyDeleteLets hope everything will be fine till next ministry come after one year!!!!
New trains in Nilambur-Shoranur route spoilt the patronage of NBR-PDM FP.The timing of the bus and the evening train was at 17:00 hours.Pandalam service was never dependable,as it never used to run properly and the timings were bad.The Pala/Ponkunnam service was more dependable.
ReplyDeleteIn the morning PDM-NBR ran almost along with TVLA-NBR-VKD FP.
Now the last train (introduced in Aug 2009)leaving at 19:30 hours has eaten into the revenue of VKD-TVLA FP reaching NBR at 19:00 hours.(Koduthal kollathum kittum)
NBR depot cancelled its NBR-KTM FP at 06:45 hrs after the introduction of morning train at the same time.(4 private buses in NBR-TSR route were also cancelled)
However NBR depot still runs the overnight KTM FP leaving NBR at 20:30 hrs.
It runs the Pala FP in the morning via Kalikavu,Karuvarakundu and Melattur where long distance services are not available.
EKM FP is run at 05:00 am via Manjery, Malappuram,Kuttipuram,Ponnani and is a hit.
SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST IS THE KEY.
KSRTC should operate services in KKD route and GDLR routes than trying to compete with trains.
NBR now has 33 buses and 29 schedules.
ReplyDeleteAbout 14 services are to be started soon.
Hi Anto
ReplyDeleteAny chance of starting a mysore bus from nilambur

Could you please give me the timming of Forenoon-GVR-Blore,MPM-Blore as i have never seen this bus on nilambur

Copy of my mail to the MD regarding Online reservation.
ReplyDeleteIt is unfortunate that the online booking is limited to a handful bus stations alone,in Kerala.
I tried to book a seat to Bangalore by GVR-Bangalore S/D or PMNA-Blore S/D ,but these schedules are not even mentioned.
Perinthalmanna-Bangalore cannot be even searched as Perinthalmanna is not mentioned among the SOURCE stations!!!!!!
This is the reply you get on searching.
Can the public be blamed for GVR-Blore and PMNA-Blore buses running with vacant seats??
Sorry, no schedule available at present.
5 KSRTC SUPER DELUXE SERVICES PASS VIA NILAMBUR TO BANGALORE.HOWEVER THERE IS NO GUARANTEE TO GET A SEAT NOR THERE IS ANY MEANS TO BOOK A SEAT IN ADVANCE.
ONLY PRIVATE SKS (GAIN TRAVELS) HAS RESERVATION FROM NILAMBUR TO BANGALORE.
PLEASE CONNECT ALL KSRTC BUS STATIONS IN THE ON LINE RESERVATION NETWORK,SO AS TO ENABLE BOOKING FROM ANY STATION.
This is what sujith tells me!!!!
ReplyDeleteComputerization of KSRTC bus stations will finish within short span of time. Later on you can book the tickets from any bus stations to anywhere.
Sujith rocks!!!!!
Good news....!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks sujit for followup of this matters with KSRTC.

Anup.Nair
@Anto,
ReplyDeleteThere is no point in writing an e-mail to honorable MD. I have done the same thing in the past and never received any reply from his office.
Later when I called they told that a fax is a better option than e-mail. So I advice you to fax this complaint instead of e-mail.
Hi Anto,
ReplyDeleteThanks for your updates and efforts. If somebody there to backup Sujith and Shankar, it would be really apreciated.
I have a query regarding the super fast/delux srvices from Perintalmanna, Nilambur/Vazhikkadavu, Manjeri, Thamarassery, Malappuram to Trivandrum.
I heard some more super fasts were started from the above depots to TVM. Can you giv me details if you have any clue regarding the same?
The construction of Waiting Shed is underway and the slabs at the exit are being laid at NBR.Efforts are on to get diesel pump sanctioned.Hope buses enter the station soon.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteif you could start a new Super fast buse from Nilambur to Mysore & bangalore, early in the morning around 4.00 to 5.00 am, it wil be use full for the passangers (Mysore Bangalore Passangers ) from southern kerala arraiving early morning at Nilambur and vazhikadavu. at present the first bus from Gudalur to Mysore(fro ooty) is only at 8 am. you will get a lot of passangers from, Nilambur, and gudalur to Mysore and Bangalore: the Eranakulam Bangalore super deluxe bus via Nilambur and gudalur is not running now. with that permitt you can run a bus.
ReplyDeletestart at 4.15 am fro. Nilambur, 6.00am Gudalur, Mysore at 9.00 am, and Bangalore at 12.30 P.m.
Return: 3.30 Banglre, 7.00 Mysore, 9.00 at Bandipur, 10.00 at Gudalur and 11.30 at Nilambur.
The Perinthalmanna- Bangalore super deluxe bus is running with less passangers and in loss.
ReplyDeleteIf you could convert the super deluxe bus- to a super fast and change the departure timing it will be usefull for passangers and profitable for corporation.
Perinthalmanna: 3.45 A.m.
Gudalur : 6.15 A.M.
Mysore : 9.00 A.M.
Bangalore : 12.15 P.M.
Return
Bangalore : 3.30 P.M.
Mysore : 7.00 P.M.
Bandipur : before 9.00 P.M.
Gudalur : 10.00 am
Perinthalmanna : 12.30 am.
Advantages:
[1]: the passangers from southern kerala can reach Gudalur early in the morning
[2]: Passangers from Perinthalmann, Nilambur, vazhikadavu, Gudalur can Start early and can reach Mysore and Bangalore early ( bisunessmen, students and others)
[3]: when converting to super fast all unreserved passangers also can travel from any station.
[4] The unnecessary waiting of Bangalore and Mysore bus passangers at Bandipur in the midnight can avoid.
[5]: There is no buses from Gudalur to Mysore between 3.00 am -- and 8.00 am. so this will be the first bus from Gudalur to Mysore,
[6]: Passangers reaching Gudalur from Ooty also will use this bus.
The RTC (Karnataka/Kerala) can operated many buses on the Perinthalmanna-Nilambur route to Bangalore (Via) Mysore during night times. But the Bandipur Route is closed during night times. The people should travel during day time, but they are interested to travel during night times only. I hope the Gundulpet night route will never be opened. Some buses now reach Bangalore during midnight, so people are dependent on autos. Since Nilambur is a Sub-depot, they can operate Nilambur-Mysore buses frequently during day & evening times.
ReplyDeleteThe Kerala RTC & Karnataka RTC should operate only Fast Passenger & Karnataka Sarige buses on the Mysore-Nilambur routes, as this will be a cheaper option to people.
ReplyDeleteNo Mysore, no Gudalur from Kesrtc for the time being anyway....!!@#$%
