Kochi: Change Is Good. Kochites Are Changing To KSRTC

At last it is going to happen in our Kochi. KSRTC official has got some plan to start the city service for Kochi like one in the TVM. As per sources they are seriously thinking to launch it soon, design of the bus, routes are on the pipe line.

If this happens this will be a boon to the city commuters. Now the commuters are depending mostly on the private red killers for their daily commuting, The Pvt bus operators in Kochi are terrible and they are so rude all the time. they are always in news for breaking the signals, accidents, misbehavior...etc. Whatever be the reason they are not advisable for travelling.

Already the services operating by KSRTC under JNNURM scheme is fetching money and appreciation. Initially there exist many skeptical thoughts about its operation but now all such thoughts are getting changed. The older people and the ladies now prefer to travel by low floor than in terrible red buses.

Adding to the existing ac buses with the introduction of a fleet of non ac low floor buses,KSRTC is getting the momentum.

Many of the people are comfortable with the ride in the low floor buses. We hope the city service from KSRTC will also be a type of low floor. I expect buses like the one KSRTC run between eastfort and kovalam (low floor anathapuri ) also it will be good enough if they can introduce bus passes like the one which BMTC has now in Bangalore.

So we can see KSRTC dominating the streets of kochi soon...

SO lets hope that our kochi will change.

WELL CHANGE IS GOOD......

  2. Kochi needs more than 2500 buses to meet todays traffic projections. There are about 800 private red line buses in Kochi, currently. They had blocked permit for more buses on Kochi roads by filing a suit in High Court. It seems that had been settled in favor of the govt now and many more buses can be introduced. Govt has also decided not to renew permits of red killers when they expire. If the govt sticks to this policy in about 2-3 years Kochi can be rid of this private bus menace and go in for public transport under KSRTC fully.
I request your constant vigil to get this implemented, as some politicians are private bus owners themselves or closely linked to private bus owners, they will obviously try to scuttle KSRTC services.

  4. being a great fan of KSRTC, i am much excited where KSRTC wins, much depressed when they met with an accident or when some one complains.
still, they should not be allowed to form a monoploly there in kochi. private should be there with equal share to compete, and to get better service to commuters.

  6. All citizens of kochi should support and make use of JnNURM ( Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission ) and KSRTC. JnNURM is a Govt of India Project for States dont think it is State Govt Project because There is no one in State Govt to work with such a vision , we should make use of it and stop using kochin private bus who goes to strike any day
