  1. Another careless Driving!!!!!!!!!!Was the Drivers door Automatic???????????If so hw it open while vehicle is on move!!!!!!!!!!!At least KSRTC should pay some attention on the passengers life!!!!!!!
Please remind the survey conducted by Asianet few weeks ago regarding the overstress of drivers due to continuous driving for hours.....
PLEASE THINK BOT CRUE CHANGE FOR LONG SERVICES!!!

  2. I have seen many times drivers are putting water on the windshield while driving the bus. they used to stand from the driving seat and throw the water from bottle to clean the glass. Cant they do it after stopping the bus?

Here in this case also, why cant the driver stop the bus sor closing the door?

Serious actions should take against the driver of this bus which cause the death of 3 people. He should chucked out from the service. Also govt should suspend his licence for lifetime.

But please do a proper inquiry before doing all those things.

  3. It is a universal rule that Driver(Passengers also) should wear the seat belt while driving!!!!!Do our KSRTC management/ Staff know about this???
Always we boast bot the quality of buses! At least any of the bus has the Security facility as per norms?Hw many buses are there with speedometer in working condition? At least we must have some professional brain on top with international exposure!!!!!!

  4. is there any buses with proper first aid box? including volvo buses, i can prove that there is not even a single bus with that.

  5. Let the first aid box be there! At least that driver can say what was his exact speed when the Mishap occured?
The first thing of the mechanics do when a bus is caught for repair after its maiden trip is that to cut off the speedometer cable!!!!!!Rest al warning meters/indicators one after another!!!!!

  9. Dear friends,
as per the reports the driver is not the main accuse for this mishap. This incident doubts the quality of the bus's body.. I think KSRTC should make sure of the quality of its buses before rolling out from garages.
They are always in a hurry to roll out dozens of buses but quality remains an issue.... WHO CARES

In this incident the driver's door was causing problems soon after it started from CBE, So i think he should not be blamed fully. Hope the KSRTC MD's report will dig out the real culprits.

Also the intiative taken by the driver inspite of his injury to call the fire and rescue services and the police is quite apperciable, As this wont happen very often.. most of the times either the driver will flee away or remain in the site doing nothing. Mr Driver of the bus called an auto and seek the help of the authorties so that a disaster was avoided.

So what i think or suggest is a detailed study by the authorties should be made on the certain aspects such as quality, Safety..etc of these buses which are rolled out recently and also on buses which are meant to be for long routes.

  10. In this accident, with available information from medias The driver is 100%responsible for the mishap..Hw many KSRTC Workshop he had passed on his way from CBE upto Ankamali???If he could at least tied the door with a string..The 3 life and great loss could,ve been saved!!!!!!!!
Why should the accused be appreciated for his negligence???? Isit such a great thing to remain on the spot and call Auto& call authorities after commiting a serious mistake??????
No human being with sense justify culprits th namby-pamby excuses!!!!!!!!

  11. we cannot blame the driver fully, he has responsibility. But, the mechanical section, especially, the highre authorities like depot vehicle supervisor, depot engineer, etc should have responsible for this. I had seen several times they avoid many things as simple. Sometimes, the passenger entry doors are not proper. now it is proved how a simple thing make big tragedy.

Many are accusing the driver badly. you compare with some private bus drivers, in night services , the seconfd driver gets the driving seat while the bus is on move. I had seen it in a night service bus from Adimali - Aluva- Kannur-Irity-Vaniyapara bus last year.

  12. Why the driver didnt enter the bus to any garage for fixing the door properly?

There are night duty staff's available in almost all the depots. The incident happened in Ankamali, so he passed Palakkad, Thrissur and Chalakkudy depot. Also the sources telling that the door got the problem from Coimbatore itself. This is too much.

  13. If the authority punishes only the driver the real culprit will some how escape.. So this will lead to atleast bringing up the real culprits to the front..OF course there is a mistake from the driver's part.. but he should not be only person to booked for this..helping the people to come out of the bus is an appreciable task and that too when he is injured.. Then what about the conductor what he was doing inside.. If the driver is booked the conductor also should be booked for not insisting an assistance at the stops.....

  14. DEAR ALL,
IT IS UNIVERSAL THAT DRIVER SHOULD WEAR SEAT BELT.WHEN NEW BUSES COME THERE IS SEAT BELT FOR DRIVER.WE HAVE SEEN BELT FOR PASSENGERS ALSO IN OLD DAYS."PROTECT YOUR CLOTHES FROM DIRT BEFORE TRYING IT IF YOU SEE ONE AGAIN"."WE DRIVERS ARE HELPLESS BECAUSE IF WE TRY IT OUR UNIFORM WILL BE DECORATED WITH DIRT AND OUR ATTIRE BEFORE YOU WILL BE FILTHY".AFTER SOME DAYS THIS SEAT BELT WILL BE CONVERTED TO DOOR ROPES,WE DON'T KNOW WHO DO
THIS,MAY BE SOME AMONG US,CAN'T HELP BECAUSE 85% NEVER CLOSE DOOR AFTER GETTING IN AND OUT.AGAIN IT IS A LAW OF RTC THAT DRIVER SHOULD NEVER TAKE HIS HAND OFF STEERING WHILE DRIVING EXCEPT FOR OPERATING LEVERS AND SWITCHES AND SHOWING SIGNALS.THIS CANNOT BE ALWAYS FULFILLED
IN OUR ROAD CONDITIONS AND TYPE OF VEHICLES.WE DON'T WANT TO PROTECT OUR COMRADE IF HE HAVE MISTAKE.IN THAT SPOT OF ACCIDENT THAT BUS SHOULD RUNNING AT 60KMPH.DRIVER HAVE TO EXERT
HEAVY FORCE TO CLOSE DOOR BECAUSE ,FOR LEYLAND IT IS A BIG DOOR THAN TATA AND IS OPENING AGAINST THE FLIGHT OF THE BUS IN WHICH ACTION HE MIGHT HAVE LOST GRIP ON STEERING AND THROWN OUT ALONG WITH DOOR WHICH IS THROWN OPEN BY THE AIR RESISTANCE.IN LEYLAND, IT VERY EASY FOR THE DRIVER TO GET THROWN OUT THAN TATA AS IT'S SEATING IS CONSTRUCTED LIKE THAT.IT IS NOT GIDDINESS,BUT THE" SEAT BELT DISCARD" IS THE VILLAN . OUR MAN SHOULD HAVE STOPPED IN ANY OF THE DEPOT WHICH HE PASSED,TO GET REPAIRED BY LODGING COMPLAINT IN WRITING IN LOG SHEET WHICH SHOULD HAVE PROTECTED HIM FROM THIS BLAMING BEFORE KNOWING THE TRUTH.IT IS RIGHT,HE MUST STOP BUS
BEFORE DOING ALL THIS THINGS.WE FEEL SORRY AND WHOLE HEARTDLY
BEG PARDON TO EVERYBODY AND IN THE NAME OF DCMA,KSRTC WHOSE WAS AFFECTED BY THIS DISASTER AND TO PUBLIC TOO WHO IS OUR KING.WILL TRY OUR LEVEL BEST NOT TO REPEAT THIS.LIFE IS PRECIOUS THAN EVERY THING IN WORLD.WE KNOW IT.
    DCMA,KSRTC.
